FOR MEDITATION:

I was regretting the past and fearing the future.
Suddenly my Lord was speaking:

My name is "I AM" He paused, I waited, He continued:

'When you live in the past with its mistakes and regrets, It is hard.
I am not there. My name is not I was.
When you live in the future with its problems and fears, It is hard.
I am not there. My name is not I will be.
When you live in this moment, It is not hard,
I am here. My name is "I AM."

Jesus said:

"I am the way," "Follow me," "I am the truth," "Believe in me," "I am the life," "Live in me."

Jesus asked: "What do you want me to do for you?"

"Who do you say I am?", "What do you want?"

"Who touched me?"

"The lilies ... Are you not worth more than these?"

FOR COMFORT:

My Plans for You

My plans for you are for peace not disaster holding for you a future full of hope. When you call to me I will listen to you. When you seek me you shall find me. When you seek me with all of your heart, I will be there for you.

Now I am revealing new things to you, things hidden and unknown to you, created just now this very moment, of these things you have heard nothing until now. For I may call you into the wilderness, lead you along unknown paths.

You may stumble even fall, But through it all, I will be there for you.

"The real voyage of discovery lies not in the seeing of new sights but in the looking with new eyes."

"Your pain is God's point of entry."

"Thanksgiving is the antidote to worry."

Judith's Prayer:

"Your strength does not lie in numbers, nor your might in strong men. Since you are the God of the humble, the help of the oppressed, the support of the weak, the refuge of the forsaken, the Saviour of the despairing, please, please, God of my father, God of the heritage of Israel, Master of heaven and earth, Creator of the waters, King of your whole creation, HEAR MY PRAYER."

The Book of Judith 9:11-12

PRAYER TO THE HOLY SPIRIT.

O Holy Spirit give me stillness of soul in you. Calm the turmoil, with the gentleness of Your peace. Quiet the anxiety within, with a deep trust in You. Heal the wounds of sin within With the awareness of Your presence. Confirm the hope within, With the knowledge of Your strength. Give fullness to the love within, With an outpouring of Your love.

O Holy Spirit, be to me a source of light strength and courage, So that I may hear Your Call ever more clearly, And follow it more generously. Amen.

William Browning, CP.
