8. Priest Let us pray.
Eternal God, creator and sustainer of us all, give your grace to N and N. Grant that
in the years ahead they may be faithful to the vows they make this day, and that in the
strength of the Holy Spirit they may grow together in the love, joy and peace of our
Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.
III. THE READINGS
9. There are one or more readings from Scripture at this point, hymns, anthems, or
items may be sung.
IV. THE MARRIAGE
The Bride and the Bridegroom face each other and join hands.
10. Bridegroom
I, N. take you, N. to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better
for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until
we are parted by death. This is my solemn vow.
11. Bride
I, N. take you, N. to be my husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better
for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until
we are parted by death. This is my solemn vow.
